Shipping Policy
We ship most orders within three business days. When we receive large numbers of orders, such as when a popular show opens, it may take considerably longer for us to ship your order. Shipping charges are determined by UPS. All shipments are professionally packed and fully insured. We ship primarily through UPS Ground and SurePost. Please unpack your order promptly when you receive it and let us know within 7 days of receiving the package if artwork arrived broken or defective.
UPS Ground
Packages shipped via UPS Ground cannot be shipped to PO boxes. Packages of 12 inches or larger will be shipped UPS Ground, regardless of what shipping method you choose at checkout. Packages with a value of $200 or more will require a signature on delivery. The recipient is responsible for filling out door tags, signing for packages, or picking them up at a UPS Access Point within 5 business days when necessary in order to receive the package. You can also update your delivery preferences online through UPS My Choice. The gallery is not responsible for additional charges you incur if you choose options through UPS My Choice that have fees attached. If your package is returned to sender because you fail to sign for it or to pick it up at a UPS Access Point within 5 business days, we will not be able to reroute the package back to you once the delivery has failed. The gallery is not responsible for paying to reship your package if it is returned to us because you failed to sign for your package or pick it up at a UPS Access Point.
UPS SurePost
Packages of 11 inches or smaller and with a value of less than $200 may be shipped via UPS SurePost. UPS SurePost boxes are delivered by your local USPS, and may be shipped to PO boxes. See the UPS Ground section on this page for information about what packages cannot be shipped via UPS SurePost.
Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii
We ship to Alaska and Hawaii via USPS Priority Mail. Currently, our website does not offer this shipping option, so we will refund any overpayment in shipping when we ship your order.
International Shipping
Due to the complexities of international shipping, our website shipping calculator is not always accurate when predicting international shipping rates. If there is any overpayment in shipping when you check out, we will refund it when we ship your order. Shipping options for international orders shown at checkout may not reflect the actual shipping method we use to ship your order. We ship out of the US via USPS, but the shipping methods through USPS occasionally change. We are not responsible for any import fees that may be incurred by delivering an order in your country.
Gift Orders
Unless you request otherwise at the time of placing your order, your order will not be packed as a gift, and artworks will have labels with the prices on them. If you would like your order packed as a gift, please leave a comment on the order at checkout letting us know or email us through the contact form on our website immediately after placing your order, so we can remove the price before beginning to pack your order. We can also include a card with a message if you let us know what you would like the message to be. Do not place an order to be shipped to someone else without notifying them to expect a package from us; sending surprise packages is a great way to have packages be lost or stolen. The gallery is not responsible for reimbursing the value of an order that has been shipped to someone who was unaware they were going to receive it, and the package consequently went missing.
Multiple Orders
If you place multiple orders and would like them packed together in order to save on shipping, you must leave a comment on at least one of your orders or email us through the contact form on our website promptly after placing your orders letting us know that you would like your orders packed together. Combining orders may necessitate changing the shipping method, particularly if you chose UPS SurePost at checkout and your box is too large or your insurance value is too high to go UPS SurePost, in which case we will ship it UPS Ground. We will refund any overpayment in shipping, if any. We cannot combine multiple orders for shipping if we have already packed and/or shipped any of your orders prior to you notifying us that you would like them packed together.
Return Policy
Artworks may be returned for 7 days from the date of purchase in the gallery, or 7 days from the date of delivery for shipped orders. Customer is solely responsible for shipping any returned items to Charlie Cummings Gallery. Customer agrees to use only reputable carriers capable of providing proof of delivery and insurance for the entire value of the shipment. Customer agrees to bear all shipping charges and all risk of loss for the return product during shipping. Returns may be subject to a 25% restock fee. Please contact the gallery within 7 days of receiving an order to pre-arrange a return. Please do not return anything without previously contacting the gallery.
