Recipe: Soul Chocolate Hot Chocolate
INGREDIENTS AND PROCESS:
It’s an easy recipe. I make my favourite hot chocolate with Soul Chocolate drinking chocolate. Soul Chocolate is a Toronto-based company committed to organic, ethically sourced chocolate. I dust the pot of milk with a generous portion of grated chocolate from the tin while warming it on the stove and whisking until melted. I am not one to measure often, but I add enough chocolate to change my milk to a medium-rich chocolate colour. The amount of milk varies based on the drinking vessel I choose. Then I hand-froth the milk in my glass frothing pitcher. It makes the hot chocolate silky smooth and adds foam for visual appeal. Although I stock my cupboards with all three of #soulchocolate drinking chocolates (classic, Mayan and peppermint), peppermint is the tin I empty first.
