Porcelain, wheel thrown and altered with hand built hollow handle, cone 10 oxidation fired, 4.5 x 5 x 4 inches.
Recipe: Orange Hot Chocolate
INGREDIENTS:
½ c. dark chocolate, approximately 4 oz, chopped
2 c. milk of your choice (whole milk or almond milk work well)
2 Tbsp cocoa powder
2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
4 Tbsp fresh squeezed orange juice
4-6 orange peel rinds
Pinch of nutmeg
PROCESS:
Melt dark chocolate & milk together in a saucepan over low-medium heat, stirring frequently to avoid burning it. Once melted, reduce to low heat and add remaining ingredients. Simmer on low for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it's warmed to your liking. Remove from heat, discard the orange peels, pour into cups and add desired toppings (whipped cream, marshmallows, chopped chocolate, extra pinch of nutmeg etc). Serves two.
