Recipe: Maple Bourbon Hot Cocoa by Daniel Gardner
INGREDIENTS AND PROCESS:
Combine:
½ cup boiling water
⅓ cup cocoa powder
½ cup maple syrup
⅛ tsp salt
½ tsp instant coffee
Whisk over medium heat until cocoa dissipates completely. Then add:
1.5 cup half and half
2 cup whole milk
Whisk over medium heat until mixture is hot but not boiling. Remove from heat. Then add:
1 tsp vanilla extract
4 oz bourbon
Serve with whipped cream and a spoon! Serves 4.
